By using HereJustNow (HJN), you’re agreeing to the ground rules of our digital neighborhood. It’s pretty simple, but it is a legally binding agreement. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; your continued use of the platform means you accept those changes.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use HereJustNow. By accessing the platform, you verify that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you are strictly prohibited from using this service.
This is a temporary local board for your wants and needs. Don't use it to harass, spam, or drop anything illegal. If you wouldn't say it to a neighbor's face, don't drop it here.
HereJustNow is built for responsible local discourse. We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, hate speech, spam, fraudulent listings, or dangerous coordinates. Moderation happens in two ways:
Standard posts and replies become inaccessible through the application after 60 minutes from creation. Paid Spotlight posts become inaccessible after 24 hours from confirmed payment. Active database content and associated uploaded files are deleted asynchronously. There is no public posting archive. Restricted Firestore point-in-time recovery (PITR) can retain recoverable database versions for up to seven days for disaster recovery; it is not served as public history. Downloaded copies, screenshots, and notification previews cannot be recalled. Keep any information you need before a post expires.
By posting, you grant HereJustNow a temporary, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content within the local service while the post is active: 60 minutes for Standard or 24 hours from confirmed payment for Spotlight. Restricted processing for cleanup and disaster recovery follows Privacy & Data. We claim no permanent ownership over your content.
Post threads are visible to eligible nearby users. Optional video communication uses temporary signaling state. Do not put a phone number, home address, or other sensitive personal information in a post or public reply.
When you share location, the server records the browser-reported point and binds it to your current session for access to posts whose estimated drive time is shorter than their remaining lifetime. Access expires after 15 minutes; you must re-share location to continue. The reported point is not verified physical presence. Driving time is estimated from straight-line distance at 24 mph (2.5 minutes per mile); it does not use road routing or live traffic. Exact post coordinates are restricted to server-only records while needed for local access and deletion. We do not request background location, save routes, build movement profiles, or sell location data.
If you enable nearby notifications, the service stores a functional notification token and relevant local scope until the subscription expires, is disabled, or is removed by cleanup. You can revoke notification permission in your browser. Notification previews already delivered cannot be recalled.
All transactional payments for "Post Boosting" are processed securely through Stripe. HereJustNow does not receive full credit card details. Restricted payment receipts may be retained for payment, refund, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations. The $0.99 fee is a one-time transaction per spotlight—there are no recurring subscriptions. Because our digital visibility benefits are fulfilled instantly, all purchases are final and non-refundable.
HereJustNow provides a hyper-local, real-time digital board for paid local actions, offers, and updates. We do not verify the identity, background, or intent of any user on the platform. If you choose to transition a digital interaction into a physical meetup (e.g., buying, selling, or meeting for a paid task), you do so entirely at your own risk. HereJustNow assumes no liability for offline interactions, transactions, or incidents resulting from the use of this service.
Universal Safety Guidelines:
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HereJustNow, its founders, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or debt (including attorney's fees) arising from: (i) your use of and access to the platform; (ii) your violation of any term of these Terms of Use; (iii) your interaction, digital or physical, with any other user; or (iv) your violation of any third-party right, including privacy or property rights.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of HereJustNow shall be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court. You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.
