Here Just Now.

Privacy & Data

HereJustNow uses essential technology to operate the service. Optional analytics and advertising measurement run only according to your privacy choices.

Location permission is separate from analytics and advertising consent. We explain why location is needed when you choose to use a nearby feature, before the browser asks for permission.

HereJustNow is built to be temporary and local.

We do not want to build social profiles, permanent posting histories, or a long-term tracking system around you.

What we may measure

To understand whether the site is working, our admin dashboard may count basic site actions, such as site visits, location permission shown, location shared, nearby feed loaded, post started, post created, post expired, post deleted by admin, boost shown, boost completed, and reconnect used.

These are used for site operations, debugging, safety, and basic business reporting.

What we do not keep for tracking

We do not use deleted post content to build a profile about you.

We do not keep deleted post text, deleted images, reply content, PINs, or exact location history for long-term tracking.

We do not sell user profiles.

We do not use your post content to follow you around the internet.

Location

HereJustNow uses location so we can show nearby posts. Our admin dashboard may show general area information, such as city or neighborhood-level activity, but the goal is to understand whether the local board is working — not to build a personal location history.

Temporary posts

Posts are designed to expire or be removed. After a post is gone, we may keep a stripped receipt that a post happened, such as the time, general area, category, whether it had an image, and whether it was boosted. The receipt does not need the post message, image, PIN, or reply content.

Optional product analytics

When you enable Product analytics, HereJustNow may load Google Analytics to understand sanitized page views and key steps such as requesting location, loading nearby posts, opening the post form, submitting a post, and completing a Boost purchase.

We do not send Google Analytics your name, exact coordinates, post content, Firebase user ID, reconnect PIN, notification token, or payment details. URL parameters that may contain click identifiers, post identifiers, or payment-session information are redacted.

Google Signals, remarketing, advertising personalization, and user-provided data collection are disabled. Analytics data is retained for two months.

Individual sanitized product-analytics events in our operational database are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Operational error records are scheduled for deletion after 7 days. Aggregate counters may remain because they are not individual visitor timelines.

Ads and conversion measurement

If you came from an ad, we may use limited ad conversion measurement to understand whether ads lead to useful actions, such as creating a post or completing a boost.

If you came from an ad, we may temporarily store ad click identifiers, such as Google click IDs, only to report whether an ad led to a useful action like creating a post or completing a boost.

We do not send post text, images, PINs, reply content, or exact location history to ad platforms for this purpose.

Why we measure anything

Without basic counts, we cannot tell whether the site is broken, whether posts are being made, whether people are seeing nearby posts, or whether ads are wasting money.

Our goal is to measure actions, not people.

Retention and requests

Payment and accounting records are handled separately from product analytics and may be kept as needed for payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations.

To request access to or deletion of data that can reasonably be linked to you, email hello@herejustnow.com. Because HereJustNow does not require a public profile, we may need information from your browser or transaction to locate a record.
