HereJustNow Safe Meetup Guide

Temporary posts and restricted functional records reduce what remains in the active service, but they do not verify who someone is or where they are. If you arrange a meetup, follow these rules:

1. Talk Before Meeting

Consider a temporary video conversation before agreeing to meet. HereJustNow does not record calls; another participant can still record or copy what you share. Temporary signaling state expires through cleanup. A video conversation is not an identity or safety check.

2. Use Official Safe Zones

Never meet at a private residence or a secluded lot. Suggest a designated "Safe Trade Station" (usually located in the lobbies or parking lots of local police departments).

3. Share Your Location Outside HJN

HereJustNow does not request background location or track a route, and browser-reported locations are not verified physical presence. Do not rely on the board to reconstruct a trip if something goes wrong. Before you meet, text a friend or family member exactly where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to be done. Share your live location with them via your phone's native OS.

4. Trust the Gut Check

If the vibe is off, the location looks wrong, or the person acts aggressively, leave immediately. No swap is worth the risk.
