Most spaces want to know everything about you. We want to know almost nothing. Here is our promise to the neighborhood:
We don't ask for your name, your email, your phone number, or your social media. You don't have an "account" here because you don't need one to be a neighbor.
We only use your GPS coordinates to show you notes within a 6-mile radius. We don't store a history of where you've been. Your location is used to filter the board, then it's gone.
We do not keep archives or build user profiles. Once a 60-minute note expires, all associated data is permanently erased from our database. There is no historical feed.
We do not use tracking cookies, cross-site tracking, hidden pixels, or personalized ad profiling. If you discover us through an advertisement, we use a blind, server-side process to log the effectiveness of that ad click (ROI). This process relies strictly on a temporary, session-level ID that is permanently erased the moment you leave or complete a transaction. We never sell this data or build a profile of your activity.
If you choose to "Follow" a neighborhood for alerts, we store a private browser token. This token is tied to a broad neighborhood bucket (e.g., "Austin"), not your precise GPS coordinates. These subscriptions automatically expire and are purged from our system after 30 days of inactivity.
While choosing to post as a "Private Neighbor" conceals your account identity and unique identifiers from public view and other platform users, this content is not completely invisible. To maintain a safe and secure localized network, system administrators have visibility into all user-generated content, associated metadata, and user-generated flags. This visibility is strictly utilized to investigate community guideline violations and maintain platform integrity.
